- Replace 358-line safeParseClientMessage switch with helpers (requireSession,
  requireSessionAndField, requireProviderAuth) + switch fall-through grouping
- Simplify sessionBackup.ts from 801→409 lines by replacing dual strategy
  (git-diff + manifest-blob) with single tar.gz-based checkpoints
- Remove compaction logic (no longer needed since original is tar.gz from start)
- Remove git diff/apply, manifest blob, directory copy code paths
