hey, sorry about the cpu usage on this one - that was pretty bad. here's what happened and what's fixed:
cpu fixes
every time a track changed, the app was fetching the album art like 3 times in parallel on different threads, each one blocking for seconds. that's what was causing those huge cpu spikes. now it fetches once and caches it, way less work.
the album art theme was also polling every 3 seconds even when nothing changed. switched it to only react when a track actually changes.
other small stuff: tray icon animation was running faster than needed, legacy player polling was too aggressive, and there was a bunch of trace logging in hot paths that didn't need to be there.
bug fixes
- peak meters were super sluggish (looked like 3fps). turned out the fps limiter had a timing precision bug that was skipping most frames. also bumped the smoothing so they feel snappier now
- flyout was going blank when scrolling with lots of audio devices (like steelseries sonar setups). the scrollviewer wasn't constrained to the screen height so content just disappeared past the window edge (fixes #3)
